Hey there, royal enthusiasts! Let’s talk about the newest potential royal athlete in the making. Zara Tindall might have set the bar high for royal sportsmanship, but it looks like Princess Charlotte is ready to take the torch—or should I say, the tennis racket. Following in the footsteps of her mom, Kate Middleton, and her older brother, Prince George, Charlotte has been seen practicing her tennis skills on the courts. Now, here’s the kicker—Kensington Palace doesn’t have its own tennis courts (can you believe it?). So, the young princess has been spotted at London’s exclusive Hurlingham Club, perfecting her game.
According to an insider, Charlotte, who is yet to turn three in May, has already taken a liking to the sport. "She might not be three until May, but they were convinced she'd love it, and so far, she has. She seems a bit of a natural," the source revealed. Let’s face it—when you're a royal, you’re expected to be a natural at everything, right? Now, while the idea of a toddler wielding a tennis racket might sound a bit far-fetched, it’s never too early to start nurturing talent. Who knows? Maybe we’re witnessing the beginnings of a future Wimbledon champion.

Charlotte isn’t the only one swinging rackets in the royal household. Her four-year-old brother, Prince George, is also getting in on the action. However, George’s approach to the sport is a bit more... enthusiastic. LTA coach Sam Richardson shared some insights into the young prince’s tennis journey. "She says with George just being four, he wants to whack a ball, so she was asking what sort of stuff should she be doing. They will struggle at that age to hit a ball. She said he’s interested in it, but more in whacking the ball," Richardson explained. It sounds like George is all about power and less about technique, at least for now.
Kate Middleton’s Tennis Legacy
Back in 2016, the Duchess of Cambridge spoke fondly about George’s burgeoning love for tennis with Greg Rusedski. "She talked about George, her little boy, playing tennis," Greg revealed. "He’s got a racket and he enjoys playing tennis, and obviously she plays with [Prince] William, so they obviously enjoy the sport very much." It’s clear that the Middleton family has a passion for tennis, and it’s only a matter of time before the next generation takes the court.
