I can’t thank the hospital staff enough—they were absolutely incredible," he added.

While it remains unclear whether Simon's longtime girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, and their three-year-old son, Eric, were home during the fall, Simon has chosen not to tell his young son about the incident. "He probably would have scolded me, and I didn’t want to worry him," Simon revealed to People. "He’s only three, after all."
