    Adapting and Evolving with Age

Cyndi knows that life doesn't stop for anyone, and she embraces the challenges of growing older with open arms. "You have to diversify as you age," she explains, reflecting on her 2013 Tony Award win for Kinky Boots. "It's all about learning and evolving every single day." Her ability to reinvent herself has kept her career vibrant and relevant over the decades.

    Facing Health Challenges with Courage

Even after achieving so much, Cyndi faced a new battle when she developed severe psoriasis. "I lived with it for five years," she admits to Closer. "It's such a tough condition to deal with, and it can make you feel so powerless." But as always, Cyndi didn't let it define her. Instead, she channeled her experience into becoming a strong advocate for others who face similar struggles.

Family as the Ultimate Support System

Through all the ups and downs, Cyndi finds solace and strength in her family. She's been married to actor David Thornton for 26 years, and together they've raised their son, Declyn, who's now 20. "We're family," she says with a smile. "There are good times and bad, but no matter what, we're there for each other. That's what really matters." Her words remind us of the importance of having a strong support system in life.
