Big Changes Brewing at 'The View'

It’s been less than two weeks since Jedediah Bila announced her departure from 'The View'—a show she had only been part of for a little over a year—and now, reliable sources are spilling the tea: Meghan McCain is reportedly set to take her place. If you're wondering when we'll see Meghan at the table, Entertainment Tonight has it on good authority that she's expected to join the panel sometime in early October.

For those of you who don’t know, Meghan McCain is the outspoken daughter of the late Arizona Senator John McCain. She brings a strong conservative voice to the table, which is exactly what ABC has been searching for since Candace Cameron Bure decided to wave goodbye back in December 2016. Meghan's most recent gig? Contributing to 'Fox News' and co-hosting their lively show, 'Outnumbered.' Now, she's ready to bring her unique perspective to daytime TV.

Let’s rewind to the Monday, September 18, episode of 'The View,' where Jedediah, at 38 years young, made the announcement that this would be her last day on the show. "This has been an incredible journey, and I want to thank all of you," she expressed with genuine emotion. "I want to thank the viewers, even those who send me those tough tweets. It’s been an amazing experience, and I want to tell the viewers that without you, we are nothing."

She didn’t stop there. Jedediah took a moment to honor her fellow co-hosts, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Paula Farris, and Sara Haines. “These ladies are more than just co-hosts; they’re real friends,” she said. “Sunny’s texts always brighten my day, Whoopi, you’ve been such an inspiration, and Joy, you’re my go-to for a good laugh. No matter what, we’ll always be friends.”

    What Led to Jedediah’s Departure?

Some viewers have been buzzing about whether Jedediah’s exit is tied to her recent interview with Hillary Clinton. During that segment, Jedediah didn’t shy away from asking tough questions about Clinton's book, 'What Happened.' “Jedediah was doing her job by asking those tough questions," a source told E! News. "She did exactly what was expected of her.”

But don’t jump to conclusions. According to a rep for the show, Jedediah’s departure has absolutely nothing to do with that interview. “Jedediah asked excellent questions during that interview, and the producers were very pleased with how she handled it,” the rep clarified. So, it seems like Jedediah's decision was more personal than anything else.
