Here’s hoping he’s doing alright! The news of Joe Jackson’s car accident has everyone concerned. Joe, who's the patriarch of the legendary Jackson family, was involved in a scary crash in Las Vegas last Friday, June 30. The father of Janet Jackson, the late Michael Jackson, and the rest of the Jackson clan shared an update about the incident.
Details of the Accident
Let’s break it down. Joe was driving his black Jaguar when it collided with another vehicle in what’s called a T-bone crash. According to reports from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the other driver was at fault for failing to yield the right of way while attempting a left turn. Thankfully, Joe walked away from the scene unscathed, but his assistant wasn’t as lucky. The airbag deployment broke the assistant’s thumb, requiring a trip to the emergency room.
Joe himself released a statement on his official website, reassuring fans. “Earlier today while in the car with my assistant, we got involved in an accident,” he explained. “I got out of it without a scratch. My assistant, however, had to be taken to the emergency [room] because the airbag in the car broke his thumb. We are leaving and going back out to enjoy our lunch at home. All is well.”

Behind the Scenes
Now, here's where things get a little more complicated. While Joe reported that he didn’t sustain any physical injuries, TMZ revealed that he was taken to a nearby hospital via ambulance due to complaints of chest pain. This raises some concerns, especially since Joe has had health issues in the past. Back in 2015, he suffered a stroke while on vacation in Brazil, and last year, he was hospitalized with a high fever. At 88 years old, it’s understandable that his health is closely monitored.
Family Dynamics
Though Joe has largely stepped away from the spotlight, his granddaughter Paris Jackson has been making waves in the entertainment world. Since launching her modeling career, Paris has been stepping out more often—but her uncle Jermaine Jackson emphasizes the family’s role in supporting her. “We’re very proud of Paris,” Jermaine told The Sun Online. “I just think we have to make sure she is okay because this business isn’t kind to anybody. It can break you.”
