Let’s rewind a bit. Malia graduated from the prestigious Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., back in June 2016. Just a month before her graduation, her proud parents, Barack, 56, and Michelle, 53, announced that their eldest daughter— they also have a younger daughter, Sasha, 16— would be enrolling at Harvard after taking a gap year. This decision wasn't just about taking a break; it was about exploring the world and gaining life experiences before diving into higher education.

Malia's Gap Year Adventures
In January, it was revealed that Malia had secured a prestigious internship with Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein in New York City. The teen began working for Harvey—who has been behind blockbuster hits like Shakespeare in Love, Gangs of New York, Pulp Fiction, and My Week with Marilyn—at the Weinstein Company’s New York offices just a month later.
