Life hasn't always been a smooth ride for A-list actor Rob Lowe. From his wild partying days in Hollywood to the infamous sex tape scandal, it took some time for the star of "The Outsiders" to realize what truly mattered in life. But today, Rob has transformed into a devoted family man, proving that change is possible even in the world of glitz and glamour.
In an exclusive interview with Closer Weekly, a close friend of Rob's reveals just how much family means to him now. "Family means absolutely everything to Rob," the friend shares. "It's the foundation that has kept him grounded and sober for nearly 26 years. Family has helped Rob reorganize the priorities in his life and focus on what truly matters." Rob married his beloved wife, Sheryl Berkoff, in 1991, and together they have two sons, Matthew, 23, and John, 21. Their marriage has stood the test of time, celebrating 26 wonderful years together.

Both Matthew and John have excelled academically, with Matthew attending Duke University and John currently studying at Stanford University. "Rob and Sheryl knew they were doing something right when they saw their sons achieve such success," the friend explains. "And Rob is incredibly close to his sons; they truly are his two best friends, along with their mother." It's clear that the Lowe family has built a strong bond that will last a lifetime.

Family Comes First: The Lowe Files and Beyond
Today, Rob co-stars alongside Matthew and John on A&E's hit reality series The Lowe Files. "I realized early on that my boys were going to be my life's work," Rob explained in a previous interview. "I loved coaching their teams. I loved going on those field trips. It was all about being there for them." Now, through the show, Rob says, "My boys and I are fulfilling our lifelong dream of searching for freaky, unsolved phenomena. It's been an incredible journey, and I couldn't be prouder of what we've accomplished together."
