Reflecting on their reunion, Laura told Soaps In Depth, “We knew each other back in the day, but we hadn’t seen or spoken to each other in years. It all happened so naturally. We bumped into each other at an Emmy party on April 26. I was joking around with Donnell Turner (who plays Curtis) about the line at the bar when Wesley turned around. I froze for a second, like, ‘Oh my God! What’s up?’ And just like that, we started talking. It felt like no time had passed.”

After separating from her husband, John, a few years ago, Laura focused on raising their two children, Lauren and John. But sometimes, life surprises you. Fate brought Wes back into her life, and she embraced it wholeheartedly. Laura loves sharing glimpses of her life on Instagram, and she didn’t hesitate to make their relationship official online just a month after reconnecting. “There were times when I was out with him, and people would ask for pictures of me,” Laura explained. “Then they’d notice him and say things like, ‘That’s not your husband!’ I thought, ‘Why not just put it out there?’ Besides, I’m all about being open on social media. I’m an open book, so it was only a matter of time.”
From Co-Stars to Love Birds
Wes and Laura first worked together on Guiding Light, where they built a solid foundation of friendship. Now, they’ve reunited on General Hospital, where Wes plays Peter August. Whether they’ll share screen time in Port Charles remains to be seen, but fans are excited about the possibility.
